Association celebrated the 32nd Victory Day and Eid
Reunion on December 21st at the Rosenberg Civic
Center. The first part of the program was a presentation by
children from the three different classes of Paathshala:
Islamic, Bangla, and Music classes respectively; followed by a
talent show by children. As you know, Paathshala now offers
three classes every Sunday at BAC. At the second phase of the
program, the board of directors presented the financial
statements, activities throughout the year,
Bangladesh-American Center progress and future plans during a
general body meeting. The most significant event of the
general body meeting was the presentation of the amendments
for ratification, proposed by the Constitution Review
Committee. Out of the thirteen proposed amendments the general
body voted to adopt six. The ones that were adopted are:
Amendments 3, 7, 10, 11, 12 and 13.This is your organization
so it is your opinion and vote that determined the future
by-laws that will govern the organization. Please let us hear
from you as to what you want to see over the next one year in
your organization.
