Houston Bangladeshi Community organized an elaborate program with other local community
organizations to observe the International Mother Language Day
on February 22, 2003 at the University Center, University of
Houston. About 300 people were there to highlight the
program.
Programs included a
traditional morning rally, children’s musical, children’s
art competition and cultural presentations by Indian, Nepalese
and Bangladeshi communities in Houston. A bangla movie was
shown to highlight the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh.
